Privacy & testing

TEURAS is an independent games and apps project. The TEURAS team handles website enquiries and playtesting records. For privacy enquiries, contact: info@teur.as.

We need the email connected to your Google Play account to grant access to an email-based closed test. The form also asks for the game, phone model and Android version. Testing records may include joining information, game version, feedback and bug reports, from your messages and the Google services used for testing. Please remove personal information from screenshots. Our ongoing volunteer tester program is for adults; individual game age ratings are separate.

We use these records to organise tests you request, manage access, track participation and investigate bugs, based on your consent. Joining one test does not subscribe you to marketing or future tests. We do not use this information for automated decisions or profiling.

Messages are handled through info@teur.as in Hostaan’s email service; test access uses Google Play and, where applicable, Google Groups. Organisers may keep a private local tester register with access limited to their tasks. We do not publish or sell tester addresses. Google also processes service data for its own purposes under its privacy policy, which explains processing outside the EEA and transfer safeguards. Hostaan provides the website hosting under its data-processing terms.

Identifiable testing records are retained for the test and its feedback follow-up. Unless you separately join the continuing program, unnecessary contact data is removed within 90 days after that work ends. For continuing members, we review the need for their contact data after 90 days without activity. Technical reports may be retained without identifiers.

You may leave or withdraw consent and request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability by email. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. Requests concerning providers’ own accounts and records may also need to be addressed to them. You may complain to Finland’s Data Protection Ombudsman.

This site has no analytics, embedded videos or application cookies. Your browser stores your selected language locally under teuras.language. Its value is only fi or en and is not sent to the server. Change it with the FI/EN selector or remove it in your browser’s site data. Without a saved choice, the landing page uses your browser language. Email links open your email app. Hosting logs may contain IP addresses, request times, browser information and requested URLs, used for service operation and security based on legitimate interests and retained according to hosting log rotation. You can send an invitation request directly through the form. Your email address, selected game, phone model, Android version, optional notes and consent are emailed to the TEURAS organiser. Form contents are not stored in public files. To limit abuse, the server keeps a protected technical counter for a 15-minute sending window, using a connection identifier hashed with a private server secret. Expired counters are removed when the next request is processed. The counter does not store raw IP addresses or message contents. The hosting service’s ordinary logging practices are described above.
